Václav Kyllar

Václav Kyllar is a PhD student at the Department of Anglophone Literatures and Cultures at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University. He previously studied English and Political Science at Charles University in Prague and the University of Sussex in Brighton. His PhD research focuses on Czech Anglophone Literature, especially in the context of American literature and theories of migrant, global and minority literatures. His other interests include Shakespeare, literary theory, modernism and fin de siècle novel.

Václav Kyllar is active in student theatre, and he has acted and organised several productions of plays by William Shakespeare.
