Patra Jumsai Na Ayudhya

Patra is a PhD student at DALC and a lecturer in English at one of the Kasetsart University’s campuses, in Sakon Nakhon, Thailand. He holds his B.Ed. in English from Mahasarakham University and his MSc in TESOL from the University of Stirling. He participated in the Erasmus+ programme teaching English at Széchenyi István University in Györ, Hungary during his MSc. He was also a visiting scholar at New York University (NYU) as part of the Study of the U.S. Institutes for Scholars funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs in 2022.

Patra’s thesis focuses on the city of Edinburgh and its fictional works since 1914. His academic interests include spatial literary studies, queer travel writing, and literary works of Asian authors. He is also an amateur writer, scribbling short stories in Thai and English.
