Hana Zahradníková

Hana Zahradníková studied English and Czech philology at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University. She has taught English and Czech as a second language at various schools and courses, English and Czech at the Gymnázium Pod Vyšehradem secondary school in Prague, and worked in various positions for the Prague Summer Program, an American creative writing program. She currently works as an editor of Anglophone and Nordic literatures at the Argo publishing house where she published her first translation in 1998. As editor, she has been involved in Czech editions of Anglophone, Irish, and Scottish Gaelic literature, including the works of Máirtín Ó Cadhain, Lisa McInerney, Kevin Barry, Eleanor Catton, Tormod Caimbeul, and others.
