Darya Kulbashna

Current research: indeterminacy of meaning in the writing of Samuel Beckett and experimental music of the New York School. My dissertation topic deals with mid-to-late works of fiction written by Samuel Beckett, his dramatic works and works for radio, as well as extends to the conceptual and theoretical parallels in the musical sphere, namely in the projects of the New York School (John Cage, Morton Feldman, Earle Brown, Christian Wolff, David Tudor).

General research interests: experimental literature, film, and music; psychoanalysis in cultural context; philosophy of language; semiotics; intermediality; future directions in cultural theory and criticism
