The online application form is to be filed on the Faculty of Arts website. It must be completed in Czech.
An administrative fee of CZK 940 (programme accredited in Czech) / EUR 60 (programme accredited in English) must be paid prior to the application deadline: for details see Poplatky (programme accredited in Czech) and Application Fee (programme accredited in English).
The deadline for applications is 30 April 2026.

The online application form must be submitted with the following enclosures:
- A transcript of records.
- A curriculum vitae.
- A proposal for a PhD dissertation (3-5 pp / 750-1,250 words, critical bibliography included). The applicant shall propose their own topic. The dissertation topic must be consulted in advance with the prospective supervisor or the chair of the PhD programme board.
- A reading list of critical literature in the field.
- An outline of previous scholarly career (publications, research and teaching experience etc.).
- A proof of language competence (see general admission rules).
A copy of an MA degree certified by a notary public (so-called diploma nostrification) will be required upon enrolment, not as part of the application process.
