
The Department of Anglophone Literatures and Cultures – The Centre for Irish Studies invite you to a lecture William Sharman Crawford and the Revival of Ulster Radicalism by Prof. Peter Gray (Queen’s University Belfast).
Peter Gray is Professor of Modern Irish History and Director of the Institute of Irish Studies at Queen’s University Belfast. His
publications include Famine, Land and Politics: British Government and Irish Society, 1843-50 (1999), The Making of the Irish Poor Law (2009) and William Sharman Crawford and Ulster Radicalism (2023). He is a Member of the Royal Irish Academy and chair of the Irish Committee of Historical Sciences.
The event has been supported by the Department of Foreign Affairs, Ireland.
The lecture takes place on Wednesday, April 30 (12:30 – 14:00), in Room 1 (Faculty of Arts, nám. Jana Palacha 2).
