Irish University Review

Donation of a complete edition of the journal to our library.

The Centre for Irish Studies wishes to express its gratitude to Professor Joseph McMinn of Belfast for his generosity in donating his collection of the major academic journal Irish University Review to the Faculty of Arts library. It is due to Professor McMinn and the kindness of Dr John Brannigan and the IUR editorial office, who supplied the missing few volumes, that Charles University has become one of the few libraries in continental Europe to have a complete printed edition of the journal (1972- ). Our thanks are also due to the IASIL Executive for facilitating the donation.

The journal is now available in the open access area of the Jan Palach Library in the basement of the main building of the Faculty of Arts.

The Centre of Irish Studies wishes to acknowledge the financial assistance of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Ireland. Irish language teaching is funded from a grant awarded by the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Ireland. Our special thanks are due to the Embassy of Ireland to the Czech Republic for their unrelenting encouragement and support.
